AC induction motors drive approximately 90% of all pumps. An ever-growing portion of pump systems are now managed by variable speed control such as variable frequency drive, eddy current drive mag drive or fluid drive.

As the pump, motor, and driver operate as components of the same system, understanding how they react individually and to the other can have a significant impact on your plant’s bottom line.

This one-day workshop on Pumps, Motors, and Drives will discuss how the pump, motor and different drivers function as individual components and a total system.

Topics of Discussion

  • Reliability
  • Maintenance
  • Failure analysis
  • Overall system efficiency

Each participant in this course will receive a hard copy of the training/reference materials, as well as a USB drive containing tools that can be used to evaluate the pumping systems.

Attendees will earn 6 professional development hours (PDH)
